Comments by Yemen’s Houthi

Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East region, Houthi has declared themselves as a part of the “axis of resistance” of the allies of Iran. The militant group has launched a series of missiles and drones against Israel since the conflict was initiated between the nation and the militant group.

During a recent attack, the rebels have been intercepted a “cruise missile” that was traveling towards the south direction of the country. This statement was released by the Houthi rebels.

The spokesperson for the armed wing Houthis, Yahya Saree, stated that the operations would not stop “until the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank stops,” according to the reports by Al Jazeera.

In addition to this, a warning to target Israel was also given to Houthis. The warnings are given due to Israel’s continuous attack on the Palestinian group Hamas that rules Gaza.

In this regard, the rebels seized an Israel-linked cargo vessel with an international crew of around 25 at the entrance to the Red Sea.

The attack was carried out on Sunday. On the same day, the statement was released by the military of Israel, which underscored that this seizure was a “very grave incident of global consequence.” At the same time, the US military officials stated that it was “a flagrant violation of international law,” according to the news organization.
